and the shadows kept me waiting,

now i’m crawling towards the sun.

the hush sound’s album ’so sudden’, from 2005, isnt as good as ‘like vines’. in a sense i think their sound is more polished, plus their tunes are more singalong-able. and everybody knows i like catchy tunes, so, yeah.

still haven’t bought damien rice’s ‘o’ yet, which sucks. people owe me money for once, though i bought new earrings and necklaces from my juniors (THEY MAKE GOOD STUFF! but then again not many girls/people read my blog so no sense advertising here), costing like 15 bucks approx each. bullying’s rather convenient in this case seeing as i can probably drop the price down to 10 bucks, hohum.

i want my hair to grow out. like, now! *abacadabra, alakazam!* okay it didn’t work. i’m still stuck with hair that OUGHT TO BE NCIE AND STRAIGHT but isn’t as it’s too short to flow properly, so it’s sort of curling out at the ends. at least it’s a gentle sort of curl, but i cannot wait for the day when it’s past my shoulders, not brushing my shoulders irritatingly. at least when i tie it the resulting ponytail falls nicely, like when you have hair that should be straight and a layered cut. however it’s far too bouncy, when i walk i can feel it bouncing, and that’s just annoying! especially since some people can’t resist flicking bouncy hair. rrrrrrrraaaaaawwwrrrrrrrrr.

bouncy hair pisses me off, yeah, but not so much as having DETENTION ON MY BIRTHDAY. MY BIRTHDAY, PEOPLE. YES, MY ACTUAL BIRTHDAY. Plus, THE CHINESE SA IS ON MY ACTUAL BIRTHDAY. Talk about a double whammy; I hate my schedule so much as people seem to love the 28th of Fabruary, not so fab anymore it turns out. How’m I supposed to enjoy Dreamgirls/The Fountain (seeing as i don’t look even close to 18 years of age, and Notes on a Scandal and Babel are M18), plus celebratory shopping, when I’ve got both a chinese SA and DC on that day?

You tell me. When I wrote my yi4 lun4 wen2 (like an argumentative essay in chinese), I had to check the dictionary every three words or so. Yes, we’re allowed to check the dictionary during the exam. The Chinese dictionary- note that we’re not allowed to use my bestest friend, the English to Chinese dictionary. Huh. And for that yi lun wen which I actually did at home without help from friends, I got like 2 Novice, 3 Developing, and 1 Accomplished. No Excellents (not that I expected any). And I’d much prefer a solid mark (like my regular 12/20 for gong1 han2) rather than a stupid rubric, leaving me no idea of where I stand- i.e., just about pass, fail, or fail badly with my face rubbed into the green lined gao zhi.

Sucks to the world- I think I’ll have to change my blog title to suit the upcoming Maths SA on inequalities, (ab)surds, indices, and whatever else besides. I don’t know why but during my shower I managed to chew my little finger’s fingernail down to a nonexistent thingum of 2mm. Go measure it with a ruler, honestly. It doesn’t hurt but my finger feels strangely bereft of something (even more than usual). I would have bitten more off if I hadn’t realized that I’d chewed it down to a stub already.

First Detention, next, the world. *Sigh*
