a walk to remember

channel 5’s showing a walk to remember! :D

it is quite possibly the sweetest romantic movie ever, about cliched stuff that somehow takes on a new turn when i see it being acted out so heartbreakingly convincingly by mandy moore and shane west. about love, both platonic and romantic, and between family and friends. the things that landen does for jamie are so classically romantic, like building a telescope for stargazing and naming a star for her, etc etc. and while it may have been overly soppy when jamie got hospitalised for cancer, it wasn’t. and how landed learned to dance just so he could dance with jamie. it’s so classically sweet. and,

(they’re looking at a shooting star from the telescope landen built for jamie)
landen: so will you do something for me?
jamie: anything.
landen: will you marry me?

it’s like the classic love story :D yeah and i’m a sucker for those. and at the part where landen says, in the present (most of the entire movie is a flashback),

landen: i’m sorry she never got a miracle.
jamie’s father: she did. it was you.

it’s like, perfect.

  1. A Walk to Remember! They showed it earlier this year already, if I’m not wrong. Trust Channel 5 to repeat the same shows over and over again. But doesn’t matter, since that is a really sweet show. I like the part where,

    Landen: I love you
    (super long pause)
Landen: Now would be the time to say something
Jamie: I told you not to fall in love with me

    Aw :D

Anyway, how was physics! And math. I think I’m going to do really badly for both.

  2. i think i MIGHT pass them, with a bit of luck for math and a hell lot of it, for physics. i spent like 8 hours doing math the day before math paper >< i lost a lot of marks for presentation though. like the radius question, i used pyth thm but i didnt write “by pyth thm”, and because i was doing that qn in the last few mins i forgot to write units for the final answer. ALKSJDHFJ can.

hahaha channel 5 has showed a lot of shows a thousand times.. they lazy pay for broadcasting rights lah.

  3. I <3 that movie (:

    The book’s quite okay toooo.
