vanity, the vice of every woman

i just came back from a seafood lunch at Jumbo, courtesy (not so much, actually, we gave them a freaking $200 hongbao @*(^$) of my aunt/something-or-other-relative’s baby’s 1 month birthday thing, where i slowly demolished a plate of prawns (yes, a plate), and discovered that my cousin had done horrible stuff to her hair.

she permed it, for God’s sake. those tiny spiral curls that are so fake, she might as well have had blonde extensions and be done with it. when i said “oh my god sabrina what did you do to your hair” my aunt (her mom) told me that “big curls are auntie, and anyway it’s exactly how she wanted it.” EXCUSE ME?!

Darrel, please shove some sense into your sister and tell her that big curls are freakin’ schmexy(think America Ferrera kind of thing), not auntie, and spiral curls are AH LIAN. also, perms last for 1 year- my cousin’s perm definitely does not look natural (i had this old Australian jazz ballet teacher who had natural spiral curls, and they looked cute, not the definitely-fake-permed kind of thing), and I highly doubt the prefects/teachers at RGS will think differently. although rebonded hair doesn’t get much, so really, perms are this unexplored thing.

anyway, i really really regret wearing heels. i always do. they make my legs look nice, but i got dumped by my mom and stepdad at a bus stop with 190, and i had to stand on the ride home. for half an hour. then, i had to walk up my hill, in the same high heels. and they were seriously high- like 4 inches?

@sam, and anyone else who saw it: i changed my theme because i got bored with this one. and the theme i changed to (cutline) was pretty cute: i liked the clean look, but the font sucked and i made a banner to suit the custom header, but later had to crop it, and then it looked horrible. so i changed it back.

when i can be bothered to make another (properly-sized) header, and trawl through 5 pages of themes to find a theme with a font similar to my current one, and also with a nice, “clean” design, maybe i’ll change my theme. i think i’ll probably get it done in january. for now, i’m busy worrying about not practising.
