little miss sunshine
i got back from an extremely lame countdown party at a community club, which my mom dragged me to, at 2 am.
my stomach was eating itself by the time we got to the cc (11:30 pm), so i ate soggy chicken nuggets and egg sandwiches (they’d been left around since 10:30 pm).
they tasted how soggy chicken nuggets and egg sandwiches should taste like.
by the time we left that party it was 1:30 am. my mom made our taxi idle by the curb while she bought some weird noodle in dark sauce. it was originally supposed to be fish porridge, but boon tong kee had run out of food.
the taxi ride cost $18.40. note that we were at jurong east and we live near bukit batok. all in all it was one hell of an expensive taxi ride. my mom alternated between chinese and english when speaking to the taxi driver. i didn’t hear him utter more than monosyllabic grunts through the entire journey.
we came home. my sister had fallen asleep. i was made to sit and watch her while my mom took a shower, then was coerced into eating a few strands of noodle. they made me feel sick. it was 3:58 am.
now it is 4:21 am, and i am late (again).

OMG! That is an insane number for a taxi fare from jurong to bukit batok! 0.0
I think countdown parties should be banned.

and btw how the hell do you get a ride from jurong to BUKIT BATOK to $18.40? its usually not more than eight bucks if its a little after peak hours. omg.
midnight charge + the taxi idled for really long
my mom’s a waste of money lah
and it isnt even on nice clothes or whatever.
